COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs
Updated over a week ago

Below are FAQs surrounding vaccine questions at Bluecrew:

Why am I being asked if I am vaccinated?

Due to changing federal/state/local guidelines, Bluecrew is asking every CM their vaccination status. This question is being asked to maintain compliance with legal requirements. Your answer to the question does not affect your employment status.

Does my answer affect my ability to accept assignments?

Maybe. Your answer to whether or not you are vaccinated does not affect your employment with Bluecrew at this time. While Buecrew does not require you to be vaccinated, workplaces may request crew members that are fully vaccinated (or have an approved exemption related to a disability or sincerely held religious belief). If you are not fully vaccinated, you may not apply to jobs where vaccination is a requirement. If you need to request an accommodation for a medical reason or sincerely held religious belief please complete a medical accommodations request form or religious accommodations request form if you believe you qualify for an exemption

Where do I get a vaccine? / How do I know if I’m eligible?

The CDC’s vaccine resources, including a vaccine finder and eligibility information, are available here.

Will Bluecrew accommodate my work schedule to get the vaccine?

Yes. If you need to take time off work to receive the vaccine, notify Bluecrew and the Workplace in advance. We will excuse the absence. Go into the app >click help>click time off to notify Bluecrew. Do not use the “cancel shift” function in the app. Upon request, any applicable sick leave will be applied.

Can I take time off if I experience side effects?

Yes. Some people experience mild flu-like symptoms for a short period after receiving the vaccine. This is normal and should not deter anyone from getting the vaccine. If you have side effects after being vaccinated and are unable to report to work please notify Bluecrew and the client before your shift and we will excuse the absence. Go into the app >click help>click time off to notify Bluecrew. Upon request, any applicable sick leave will be applied.

Is receiving the vaccine mandatory?

We are strongly encouraging all Crew Members to get vaccinated, but we are not mandating anyone receive the vaccines at this time. As your employer, Bluecrew is required to follow all workplace rules and regulations from OSHA, the government organization that makes sure all job sites in the US have safe working conditions for all workers. We anticipate COVID-19 vaccine requirements from OSHA to take effect on January 10, 2022. If you are not fully vaccinated by this date, you may be unable to select jobs on the platform and will be removed from your current assignment.

How does being vaccinated impact workplace safety measures?

All Crew Members must continue to follow all COVID-19 safety protocols. Proper mask wearing, hand washing, and maintaining social distancing will continue to be enforced. There will be no distinction made between vaccinated and unvaccinated Crew Members when it comes to following COVID-19 protocols. Review our safety measures
