How to Request for an Accommodation

Updated over a week ago

Bluecrew is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). A Crew Member may request reasonable accommodation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), or state and local law as applicable, through the app-base platform. Examples of accommodations are medical, religious, etc. It is your responsibility to inform Bluecrew, through the app, if you believe that you need an accommodation. Providing the Company with this information is strictly voluntary.

To request an accommodation through the app:

  1. Contact Support on the app immediately after accepting a position, or as soon as possible after you believe an accommodation may be necessary, to request an Accommodation Request form.

  2. Complete and submit the Accommodation Request form.

After you complete and submit the form, an HR Representative will review it. During the review process, the HR Rep may contact you for additional information, approve, or deny the request. Each accommodation request is decided on a case-by-case basis. The Company may request medical certification to verify medical needs, should the request be a medical accommodation. The Company complies with the Healthcare Information Portability and Privacy Act. All employee’s information will be kept confidential.

Bluecrew, LLC. does not guarantee an approval for an accommodation. Many factors go into approving an accommodation, such as the following:

  1. Can the Client meet the needs of the employee?

  2. Is the request feasible and does not place an undue hardship to either Bluecrew, LLC, or the Client?
