Can I dispute the results of an advanced background check if I believe there has been an error?

Yes. You will receive a notification if you fail the Advance Background Check. You will have 7 days to dispute the results. If your reasons are valid/acceptable, you will remain eligible to work any job in the Bluecrew app.

If you believe your BGC results are inaccurate, please contact Checkr directly via phone (844-824-3257) or email (support@checkr.com) and update them on the current status of your charges. This will prompt them to re-investigate the charges on your background check. Once they complete their re-investigation, they will provide Bluecrew with an updated background check from which we will re-evaluate our hiring decision based on the new results.

If you want to provide additional information/documentation/context related to the charges on your BGC, please contact Bluecrew support via the app, providing the required information.

Will failing an advanced background check impact my ability to work with Bluecrew in the future, even after the 12-month period has elapsed?

After the 12 months have elapsed, you can apply for any job in the app. You will be asked to go through the Advance Background Check again. If you pass, you will be eligible to work any job on the app that requires same level of BGC or lower.

Are there any specific criteria or factors that might disqualify me from passing an advanced background check?

We make our determinations on a case-by-case basis, considering: (a) the number of criminal convictions and charges; (b) time elapsed from the most recent criminal conviction/charge, (c) how the criminal conviction/charge relates to the job position, and (d) the nature and gravity of the offense.
