Completing the I-9 Employment Eligibility Step

Getting Started

After the ‘Employment information’ step is complete, you will be able to procced to ‘Employment eligibility’ (Form I-9). There are four different statuses:

  1. Blank – You need to complete Section 1 of Form I-9. Click ‘Next’ to proceed.

  2. Pending section 2 of I-9 – Section 2 must be complete by the remote agent.

  3. Pending Background Check – Section 1 and Section 2 of the Form I-9 is completed successfully. We are waiting on results from the 3rd party background check vendor. There is nothing more to complete at this time.

  4. Complete – Congrats, you have completed all onboarding (shown with the green check mark)!

I-9 Auditing

Once we have had a chance to check over your documents, one of two things will happen.

  1. If you submitted the correct documents, will process your Form I-9 and E-Verify and you'll get notified as soon as your account is eligible to pick up jobs.

  2. If you submitted incomplete or incorrect documents, we will ask you to resubmit.

  3. If your name or SSN do not match documents or are missing, we will ask you to resubmit.

Acceptable Documents

Please see the image below for a comprehensive list of acceptable documents. We require [one item from List A] OR [an item from List B and an item from List C].

  • Ensure you upload both the front and back

  • Ensure the document you upload matches the type and document you selected

  • Make sure that the image is clear
