Attendance Policy

Updated today

Overview

We understand that sometimes attendance issues are caused by unforeseen life events. When this happens, we expect you to notify Bluecrew in advance. Continued employment with Bluecrew is based on your ability to meet these minimum expectations for ongoing attendance and reliability.

If you are experiencing issues clocking in or out while onsite at a workplace, ensure you communicate directly with onsite personnel to ensure accurate attendance records.

Provide Bluecrew with a notice of your cancellation a minimum of 12 hours before your job begins, via cancelling the job in your schedule. Absences that are protected under applicable local, state or federal law are considered excused absences. Some examples of excused absences are those protected by Federal Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as specific state protected leaves. Contact Bluecrew support using the Help section to receive assistance with reporting an absence or requesting leave.

Policy

Your employment with Bluecrew may be terminated after three (3) infractions of the following within a 90-day period:

  • Do Not Send Back (DSB) — Bluecrew’s Clients have the option of requesting that certain Crew not be sent back to their workplace(s). The crew member will be removed from the schedule, and the assignment will be ended on the date the DSB is issued. Crew members who receive DSB’s are expected to honor the client’s decision, engage in respectful interactions with Bluecrew teams, and refrain from contacting the client or showing up at the worksite uninvited.

  • Short-Notice Cancellation — As a professional courtesy, we request you provide Bluecrew with a cancellation notice a minimum of 12 hours before your job begins, via canceling the job in your app.

  • Attendance Policy Violations — Tardiness, excessive call-offs, returning from breaks late, requesting days off without prior client approval, leaving early, failure to clock-in and clock-out onsite. Please Note: No-Call-No-Shows are part of our Zero Tolerance Policy and could result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out using the Help area of the app.
