Google Meet Troubleshooting

Thanks for signing-up for a Pre-Shift Huddle! We look forward to seeing you soon over Google Meet. Below are some tips and tricks to help you use the Google Meet Platform.

Before the Huddle:

If you are using a phone, make sure to download the Google Meet app from the app store or google play store, it is a white app with a multi-colored camera icon .

Accept the invitation:

  1. Once you receive the email from Bluecrew, click on the link to schedule
  2. Find a time that works for you and sign-up for the meeting
  3. We will email you with a meeting code that you will need for Google Meet which is where the pre-shift huddle will happen online

How to get the Meet app:

  1. Go to the Play Store or App Store on your iPhone or Android
  2. Download and install the Google Meet app .
  3. On your device, tap the Google Meet app to open it.

How to join the meeting:

  1. Once the app is downloaded, open the app
  2. Click Join or start a meeting
  3. Enter the meeting code:
  4. Click continue and then join now
  5. A member of the Bluecrew team will let you into the meet at the scheduled time

During the Huddle:

How to turn your microphone on:

  1. Once you’ve joined the pre-shift huddle, the meeting will open
  2. To turn your microphone on, use the icon on the bottom
  3. The black circle that has a microphone icon will turn white if it is off
  4. Turn your microphone on by selecting the icon once and making sure that it does not have a slash through it

How to turn your video on:

  1. Once you’ve joined the pre-shift huddle, the meeting will open
  2. To turn your video on, use the icon on the bottom
  3. The black circle with a camera icon will control your video
  4. Select the icon and ensure that it is not white with a slash, if it is, click on it once to turn your camera on

How to write in a question:

  1. If you have a question or for attendance to the meetings, you can use the chat feature
  2. On the bottom, select the three vertical dots on the right
  3. Look at the options and click on the top middle option of “in call messages”
  4. Open “in call messages” and write in your question
  5. The message will say send to everyone but this is just for the pre-shift huddle presenter to be able to see it
  6. Then select the arrow on the right to send it.
